• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) for aortic valve stenosis

  Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI, also called TAVR) is a minimally invasive procedure that treats aortic valve stenosis, which typically occurs in people aged over 65. During TAVI, a new valve is taken up to the heart through a tube in the leg artery or the artery under the collarbone or the neck. Careful assessment by our multidisciplinary team of specialists is undertaken to provide the most appropriate treatment option.

• MitraClip for mitral valve regurgitation

  The MitraClip is a device used to treat mitral valve regurgitation and may be offered as an alternative to open heart mitral valve surgery. This less invasive procedure involves taking a repairing device to the heart via a tube in the femoral leg vein. Careful assessment by our multidisciplinary team is undertaken to provide the most appropriate treatment option.

• Triclip for tricuspid valve regurgitation

  The Triclip procedure treats tricuspid regurgitation, a condition where the tricuspid valve in the heart does not close properly, causing blood to leak backward into the right atrium. The Triclip device is delivered via a catheter, inserted through a vein in the groin, and is used to repair the tricuspid valve by attaching a clip to the valve’s leaflets.
