Paid parental leave
St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital offers eight weeks’ paid parental leave for full-time and part-time employees who have worked for St Andrew’s or another UnitingCare hospital for 12 or more months and are the primary caregiver of their newborn child.
Flexible working arrangements
We understand that juggling work and personal lives can be a challenge, so if you need flexibility with your work hours, you may be able to make an arrangement that suits you and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital. If you’re approaching retirement, or have recently retired, we’d encourage you to consider flexible working hours so you can extend your career with St Andrew’s.
Purchasing additional leave
As a permanent employee, you may make a request to purchase an additional one or two weeks of annual leave each year for recreational purposes.
Annual leave at half pay
In certain circumstances, you may elect to use annual leave at half pay. For further details see your Enterprise Agreement.
