We offer 12 weeks paid parental leave and 2 weeks paid partner leave, available after 6 months, as we understand the importance of being with your family in the early months of your child’s life for both parents. This is in addition to the government’s paid leave scheme.
We offer paid gender affirmation leave and cultural leave (paid and unpaid) to celebrate Diwali, Ramadan, NAIDOC or other culturally significant events.
Flexible working arrangements
We understand that juggling work and personal lives can be a challenge, so if you need flexibility with your work hours, you may be able to make an arrangement that suits you and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital. If you’re approaching retirement, or have recently retired, we’d encourage you to consider flexible working hours so you can extend your career with St Andrew’s.
Purchasing additional leave
As a permanent employee, you may make a request to purchase an additional four weeks of annual leave each year for recreational purposes.
Annual leave at half pay
In certain circumstances, you may elect to use annual leave at half pay. For further details see your Enterprise Agreement.
