What is a urologist?

Urology diagnoses and treats disorders related to the male and female urinary tract system, as well as conditions affecting the male reproductive system.

At St Andrew’s, our team of experienced urologists in Brisbane provide comprehensive care for a wide range of urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, bladder issues, and urological cancers such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer.

From routine screenings to advanced surgeries, we offer personalised treatment and innovative solutions to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients, backed up by on-site radiology and allied health services.

As part of the UnitingCare family of hospitals, we are also closely linked to The Wesley Hospital’s Centre of Excellence in Robotic Surgery.

Our urology services

Our urologists are committed to providing compassionate care and personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. We use advanced diagnostic techniques and innovative treatments, ranging from medications and minimally invasive procedures to surgical interventions when necessary, all aimed at improving patients’ urinary health and overall well-being.

Our surgeons work with a multidisciplinary team including specialist doctors, clinical nurse specialists and specialised men’s and women’s health physiotherapists to provide high-quality healthcare for our patients.
