Dr Rolf Gomes
Dr Rolf Gomes is a general cardiologist with a special interest in heart failure, valvular heart disease and echocardiography. He graduated in medicine from The University of Queensland after which he completed his cardiology specialty training at The Prince Charles Hospital and The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
He is a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Australian Medical Association. He runs his own private practice in Brisbane, Medihearts, and is a visiting cardiologist at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital and The Wesley Hospital.
Dr Gomes is the Founder and Director of the mobile specialist healthcare service Heart of Australia, which delivers access to specialists and diagnostic equipment to rural, remote, and First Nations communities across Queensland. The program is proudly supported by St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital.
