Dr Himabindu Samardhi

Dr Himabindu Samardhi is a Clinical Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist. She graduated from Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, India in 2003 and pursued undergraduate medical training in the UK where she completed her MRCP (UK) in 2006.
Himabindu moved to Australia in 2007 where she completed her basic medical training at The Prince Charles and The Princess Alexandra hospitals. She underwent her advanced training in Cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital followed by a fellowship in advanced echocardiography and another fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and pacing. Himabindu then completed her Electrophysiology training with a two-year fellowship at The University of Ottawa Heart Institute in Canada in 2016.
Himabindu is an associate at CVC CardioVascular Clinics and Staff Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at The Royal Brisbane Hospital. Her interests include all aspects of electrophysiology in tertiary care inclusive of complex ablations for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, device implantation and inherited heart rhythm disorders. She remains actively involved in all aspects of general cardiology and has a very keen interest in teaching and mentoring doctors in training, nursing staff and medical students.
Dr Samardhi is available for consultations in general cardiology and heart rhythm disorders at her private practices at CVC CardioVascular Clinics at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Spring Hill and the Mater Hospital Rockhampton.
