Doctor Details

Dr Grant Cracknell completed his undergraduate science degree at the University of Melbourne before completing his medical training at the University of Queensland. He currently works as a full time VMP Endocrinologist at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in Brisbane, and as a VMO at Princess Alexandra Hospital. His practice covers general endocrinology with a special interest in Type 1 diabetes and insulin pumps.

Dr Cracknell has been a keen teacher of medical students and junior doctors and continues to be active in this area. He has taken a role in ongoing education of podiatrists and pharmacists in the current evidence around care of patients with diabetes. Dr Cracknell is keenly involved in GP education meetings to provide support to GPs caring for patients with endocrine conditions.

Dr Cracknell is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, The Australian Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society, and the European Society of Endocrinology.
