Emily Edwards Senior physiotherapist

Emily Edwards
Senior physiotherapist (Women’s and men’s health)

Emily’s physiotherapy career began after she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) in 2015. In 2016, Emily started her graduate program at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, during which she rotated across many areas of physiotherapy, including women’s, men’s and pelvic health. Emily decided she wanted work in this area long term and undertook extensive professional development courses to increase her skills and knowledge.

Emily continued working in the women’s, men’s and pelvic health teams at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as well as Logan Hospital, where she worked with patients and their families as inpatients and outpatients. Emily’s passion continued to grow as she took on the role of senior physiotherapist at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in mid-2020.

Emily enjoys working with women through their breast cancer journey; and men and women experiencing pelvic health concerns such as incontinence. She feels privileged to work alongside excellent doctors and specialist nurses to provide patients with the highest level of care.
