Dr Ryan Sommerville’s specialty areas are otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery. His sub specialties include sinus surgery, paediatric ENT, ear surgery, head and neck cancer, skull base surgery, snoring/sleep apnoea surgery.

He completed his medical training and surgery training in Queensland and then went to on obtain his Fellowship in skull base surgery in Bergamo, Northern Italy.

Dr Sommerville has worked as a consultant ENT Surgeon since January 2009, initially at the Sunshine Coast then in Brisbane in both public and private practice with broad experience in general adult and paediatric ENT, head and neck cancer, sinus surgery, ear surgery, and skull base surgery.

He is a member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and also the Australian Medical Association.

Dr Sommerville commenced practice at St Andrew’s in 2011.
