Dr Hajir Nabi is a Brisbane colorectal surgeon whose scope of practice and areas of interest include: colorectal cancer and polyps, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), functional bowel disorders (including rectal prolapse), rectal bleeding, anorectal disorders including haemorrhoids, fissures and perianal fistulas, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery as well as colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Dr Nabi completed his general surgical training in South Australia predominantly based through the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre and then completed further colorectal specific post-fellowship training in Adelaide, Sydney (Bankstown and St George Private Hospitals) and Perth (Fremantle and St John of God Hospitals).

Dr Nabi has public appointments at the Mater Adult Hospital and Logan Hospital and is also employed by the University of Queensland as a senior lecturer. He has diverse research interests which include varied aspects of colorectal surgery and surgical education for which he has been widely published and presented at national and international meetings.

He consults and operates privately through the Specialist Services Medical Group at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital.
