Prof Eric Chung is a urologist at St Andrew’s. He received his fellowship training in Brisbane in 2009 before leaving for North America for an Andrology (SMSNA accredited) fellowship. He is a certified fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Apart from general urological practice, his subspecialty interests are andrology (male sexual and reproductive medicine) and microsurgical and urological prosthetic surgery. He specialises in male sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, hypogonadism), urinary incontinence (male and female), male infertility, voiding dysfunction and urinary stones.

Prof Chung offers penile prosthesis, urinary continent devices (slings and artificial urinary sphincters), penile deformity correction surgery and microscopic surgeries (vas reversal, varicocelectomy and sperm retrieval) as well as common urological procedures for prostate disease and urinary stones.

He has a strong research background and contributes regularly to the field of sexual medicine. 

After completing formal training he has performed large-volume surgery in urinary stones, reconstructive, voiding, erectile and male fertility.  He has published widely and presented at major international and national meetings on urinary and sexual dysfunctions.

Prof Chung is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Urological Surgeons Australia & New Zealand, Andrology Australia, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, Asia Pacific Society of Sexual Medicine, Continence Foundation Australia, and Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.

Prof Chung commenced practice at St Andrew’s in 2011.
