Professor David Paterson is an Infectious Diseases Physician at St Andrew's Hospital. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988 and attained his FRACP in 1995.
He has an active research group at the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research and has published more than 300 papers. His clinical interests include antibiotic management, especially of post-surgical patients, recurrent staphylococcal infections and HIV and HCV infections. He does not manage chronic fatigue syndrome or Lyme Disease thought to be acquired in Australia.
