Dr Damien Petersen graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991. After registrar training he completed his fellowship in General Surgery in 2000.
Since then, Dr Petersen has undertaken the Australasian Colorectal Fellowship training program. This involved further training in Colorectal Surgery, especially Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Colonoscopy and Anorectal Conditions.
Dr Petersen has extensive experience in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery, Endoanal and Endorectal Ultrasound as well as Anorectal Physiology.
Dr Petersens is a member of FRACS, Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and General Surgeons Australia.
He commenced practice at St Andrew’s in 2004.
