Dr Brendan Bell is a founding partner of CardioVascular Clinics (CVC) and is committed to providing comprehensive quaternary cardiac care. Brendan has special interests in coronary interventions, pulmonary hypertension and balloon pulmonary angioplasty  and all aspects of clinical cardiology, particularly chest pain assessment, primary and secondary prevention, and peri-operative management of cardiac patients.

Brendan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001 with the University Medal and Lillian Cooper Prize for Dux of Medicine.  He conducted his basic medical training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and completed his specialist cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane in 2009.

Brendan then undertook an interventional cardiology fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital and in 2010 travelled to Lahey Clinic in Boston for a two-year interventional coronary and peripheral endovascular fellowship. During this time he was honored to be a member of Project Pacer International providing voluntary cardiac care in Ethiopia.

On returning to Australia in 2012, Brendan commenced at The Prince Charles Hospital as Staff interventional cardiologist and was the  Director of the Coronary Care Unit as well as the Chest Pain Assessment Service until 2017.

Brendan remains active in medical research and has presented and performed live interventional cases for local and international conferences, as well as published numerous articles in the field of interventional cardiology.

Brendan now operates and consults at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital with regional clinics at North Lakes, Hervey Bay and Rockhampton.
