    Patient and visitor information

    If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have had COVID-19 recently, please contact your treating specialist before coming to hospital.

    Masks

    •  Masks are not required. Please wear a mask if asked to do so by our staff.

    If you have any symptoms of an acute respiratory infection, such as symptoms of COVID-19, cold and flu, you should avoid entering the hospital until:

    • at least 7 days have passed since you received a positive COVID-19 test result and
    • you no longer have symptoms.

    When visiting St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, please:

    • do not visit patients if you are unwell.
    • practise regular hand hygiene using the hand gel provided.
    • cover your cough and sneeze.
    • following any restrictions on visitor numbers and the directions of our staff. 


    Patient Admissions – COVID-19 Screening Form

    To ensure the health and safety of yourself and others, all patients must complete our COVID-19 Screening Form prior to admission.

    Please download and complete the Screening Form to the best of your knowledge within 24 hours prior to your admission, and bring the completed form with you on the day of your admission.

    If you require assistance completing the form, please advise our admissions team when you arrive at the hospital.

    Visiting hours

    General hospital visiting hours: 2 visitors per inpatient at any one time between 10am – 8pm.
    Children attending the hospital for a day procedure may have 1 parent, carer or guardian accompany them.

    Emergency Centre: 1 support person per patient at any time (24/7).

    ICU:

    Visitors to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are limited to 2 visitors per patient from 3pm-8pm daily. Some exceptions will be allowed at the discretion of the patient's treating team.
